EPIPHANY PROJECTancient soul & avant-garde folk
Epiphany Project features the fearless vocalist Bet Williams along with the powerful piano improvisations of John Hodian and an ever-changing cast of musicians from around the world. Together they create music described by the Washington Post as “A unique hybrid of world music, art song, Americana and avant-garde folk; utterly uncategorizable but always transcendently beautiful.”
Now based in Berlin, Germany, Epiphany Project makes only rare appearances in the U.S. But these once native Woodstock dwellers will bring their music home to the Bearsville Theater on Saturday, April 10 at 8pm along with world percussionist Lower East Side New York hipster, Mal Stein. The trio will be just returning from a long European tour, expect some improvisation and new songs.
"Epiphany’s live show has a wild and haunting energy. The rhythms are mesmerizing and Bet’s four-octave voice is stunning."
— Philadelphia Inquirer
“Some of the most evocative and intelligent music to come down the pike.”-NPR
