Grizzly Adamz is a new band of four of Brooklyn's finest let loose to wreak havoc in the North Country.
Featuring John Medeski (organ, vox), Jamie Saft (guitar, vox), Danny
Blume (bass, vox), & Dan Reiser rocking in for Ben Perowsky (drums, vox), Grizzly Adamz is the
culmination of 20 years of collaborations between its members. Individually they've been featured with bands such as Medeski, Martin, and Wood, Trey Anastasio, Phil Lesh, The Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, Laurie Anderson, John Zorn, The Lounge Lizards, Lisa Loeb, the Klezmatics, Joan As Policewoman, John Scofield, and Walter Becker.
Joining forces for the first time as a unit, these four NY legends
have finally combined to break down boundaries between Blues, Rock, Soul, Jazz, Psych and Improvised musics. Expect nothing less than an explosion of American Roots Musics that channels ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, The Band, and Blue Cheer.

MEDIA is Zachary Alford (drums & percussion), David Baron (synthesizers), Danny Blume (guitars), and Gail Ann Dorsey (bass guitar). Their music is an organic, atmospheric, and electronic landscape of controlled chaos, melodic mayhem, and sonic pleasure. Sometimes haunting and introspective, sometimes big and bouncy, always rhythmically irresistible; if Logan's Run had a house band, it would be MEDIA.
