This Woodstock quintet originally was formed by (Aaron Louis Hurwitz), a/k/a Professor Louie for his co-production’s for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall Of Fame group, The Band. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix went on to become the studio backing band for CD’s by Rick Danko, Garth Hudson & Levon Helm, and have recorded and performed with many acclaimed musicians through the years.

They offer the most impressive credentials, the deepest hearts and a genuine love of performing live. Woodstock Records released PL & C’s eighth studio CD “Wings On Fire” in 2012 to great reviews. Their CD “Whispering Pines” received five Grammy nominations in 2010. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix have an extensive and varied repertoire and play 150 shows a year in the US and internationally.

In 2011, PL&C was inducted into The Southern Canadian Blues Hall Of Fame and on Jan 1, 2012, Prof. Louie was inducted into The International Blues Hall Of Fame, NY Chapter. On May 20, 2012, THE CROWMATIX were inducted into The International Blues Hall of Fame.
